Tip Clamp

In recent years, it has become more fashionable for the majority of players to prefer harder tips. The photograph below is of a tip clamp, that was designed by Phil Davis and manufactured in 2010.

An 11mm tip can be inserted into each of the 11mm holes and then compressed by turning the screw thread above, by inserting a metal handle into one of the holes at the top. After a day or so, the handle can be turned a little more, to further compress the tip, and this process can be repeated several times.
